The University of Alberta’s China Institute recently hosted a two-day conference in which experts on China from around the world examined how the growing power will continue to shape and influence the rest of the globe—particularly Canada, and specifically the energy sector in Alberta. The organizers selected 2010 to 2020 as the timeframe for the discussion. China Institute director Gordon Houlden took some time out post-conference to discuss this increasingly important topic with Oilsands Review.
